History: A 65-year-old woman presented with bilateral purpuric lesions on the extensor surfaces of both forearms. The patient noticed her purpura has developed after severe itching caused by an acute attack of urticaria one day before. Senile purpura resluts from structural deficiencies in the perivascular connective tissue which cause vascular fragility and lead to dermal hemorrhage.
