Differential Diagnosis


Nine out of 10 finger nails of this psoriatic lady have been involved with psoriasis since the onset of the disease 6 years ago. On examination, the nails were thinned, partially dystrophic with distal onycholysis and some oily spot discoloration. In addition to psoriatic nail changes, she presented for an acute painful paronychia confined to the right middle finger of 2 weeks duration.
