Differential Diagnosis

History: This two year old boy did not have any icthyosis at birth.  It was not untill the age of six months that he started developing a generalised progressive symmetrical scaling of the skin.  Hereditary ichthyosis vulgaris is an autosomal dominant genetic disorder.
