Differential Diagnosis


Infection or secondary impetiginization may superimpose on  or complicate different types of eczema, however certain types are more prone to be complicated by secondary bacterial infection such as atopic, nummular and gravitational eczemas. Here is an example of infected discoid eczema of three weeks duration.
