Differential Diagnosis

Corticostreoids topically had been used by this lady for many months based on a wrong diagnosis of contact eczema with exacerbations and partial improvements. At presentation, there was a diffuse pruritic red scaly rash involved almost the entire face. KOH proved tinea faciei (incognito) and cure was obtained through 6-week-course of oral griseofulvin.
