Differential Diagnosis

History: Acral lentiginous melanoma may present as in this case as a nail dystrophy with some spread of pigmentation out onto the surrounding fingertip.If there is not this pigmentation the nail dystrophy may be diagnosed as a fungal infection or psoriasis and diagnosis delayed.
