Differential Diagnosis

History: This lady had Apert's syndrome or acrocephalosyndactyly. They have disfiguring synostosis of bones with bony fusion occuring on the hands and feet giving the deformities shown above. The same process involves the bones of the face causing a broad flat face with the eyes well separated and displaced from their normal positions.When young these patients have extensive and severe acne vulgaris. Other reported associations are with hyperhidrosis and oculocutaneous albinism.
