Differential Diagnosis

Plane wart commonly occurs in children hence the name juvenile wart; however it may occur in adults. The commonest sites involved are the face, dorsa of the hands and the legs. This lady has developed wide spread skin-colored to brownish small papules 2-5 mm in diameter with flat surface on many parts of the body but concentrated mainly on the face. The lesions were asymptomatic but causing considerable cosmetic concern for the patient. It is noteworthy that this woman had coincidental lichen planus involving the nose and the lips.
