Differential Diagnosis

History: An old man suffered pyrexia of unknown origin with generalized malaise for many weeks before the appearance of skin lesions. The rash consisted of two types of lesions; pinkish translucent firm to hard molluscum contagiosum-like papules and nodules on the face and neck and infiltrative dull red plaques on the shoulders and upper trunk. The duration of the rash at presentation was about 8-10 months. On examination there were cervical and axillary lymph node enlargement and hepatosplenomegaly. Histology and immunophenotyping revealed B-lymphocytic lymphoma.
