Differential Diagnosis

History: Juvenile plantar dermatosis is often seen in atopic children.  It presents as shiny, glazed skin often associated with desquamation and painful fissues affecting the plantar aspects of the forefeet.  Also known as sweaty sock syndrome, it is usually most severe in the summer months.
