History:

This lady has an extra-thumb since birth. The supernumerary thumb is well formed and covered with well developed nail. The great majority of reported cases of supernumerary digits were arised from the bases of the ulnar sides of the little (fifth) fingers whereas this case the extra digit arised from the radial side of the thumb. There were no associated cardiovascular, musculoskeletal or neurological developmental defects.
