History:

Benign Cephalic Histiocytosis (BCH) is a rare condition affecting boys twice as commonly as girls with the usual onset is in the first three years of life. Most cases begin in the second half of the first year. Initial lesions occur on the head, often the cheeks, and then involve the neck and upper trunk. The lesions spontaneously involute over 2 to 8 years, leaving behind atrophic pigmented lesions. The present case is a 14-month-old boy has had multiple, slightly raised, reddish yellow papules, few millimeters in diameter involving the cheeks and slightly the neck of 6 months duration. The mucosae and the viscera were not involved. Histologically, the lesions showed diffuse dermal infiltration of non-lipidized histiocytic cells.
