History: A young adult man presented with an oval ulcerative lesion with a slightly elevated purplish border and partially crusted base of 6 months duration. Longstanding erosive-ulcerative lichen planus of the oral cavity or lip may be complicated by SCC, fortunately lesional biopsy in this patient has ruled out SCC.
