History:

This elderly lady had renal failure with metastatic calcification in the small vessels of the leg. This leads to an impared circulation with levido which subsequently breaks down into ulcers.Ulceration may rarely occur at other sites such as the penis, breast and tongue.

Some patients have disease of the parathyroid glands causing the hypercalcaemia.Xrays of the limbs will show the calcified vessels.
