Differential Diagnosis

History:

Among other cutaneous features of tuberous sclerosis, this patient had a connective tissue nevus (collagenoma) or which is more commonly known as a shagreen plaque or patch on the lumbosacral region. The lesion appeared few years after birth and presented as elevated, soft to firm skin-colored plaque several centimeters in diameter.
