Differential Diagnosis

History:

Slightly painful erythematous-orange thickening with superficial fissuring of both palms. The patient had been diagnosed 15 years ago as pityriasis rubra pilaris. The disease course was characterized by remissions and exacerbations. At presentation, the rash was limited to the hands and slightly scaly scalp.
