History:

Darier disease was first described by Darier and White in 1889.  It is an autsomal dominant genodermatosis characterized by hyperkeratotic follicular papules in the seborrheic areas.  associated nail changes include longitudinal red and white bands, ridging, and V-shaped nicking of the nail edges.
