History: After many years of sun exposure this man developed these grouped yellow papules under the skin on sun exposed areas. They represent degraded elastic tissue and appear histologically as amorphous eosinophilic material deposited in the superficial dermis. If the overlying epidermis is lasered the colloid milium can be literally wiped away.Healing occurs with hypopigmentation.
