History: This lady has sustained a phototoxic reaction to furocoumarins from parsley. She grew it commercially and would often cut it fresh.Sap from the cut stalks will drip on her skin particularly on the dorsum of the hands and the forearms. This reacted with bright sunlight to give a red occassionally blistering rash which would leave postinflammatory hyperpigmentation. The linear nature of the pigmentation is characteristic. It is also commonly seen after exposure to limes.
