History:

A middle-aged woman presented with strikingly unilateral asymptomatic, grouped pustules, scaliness and brownish hyperpigmentation confined to the middle portion of one sole. Her condition was characterized by exacerbations and remissions of more than one year duration. It is differentiated from pustular bacterid which originally was described by Andrwes by being asymptomatic, unilateral, normal WBC count and there was no focus of remote infection.
