Differential Diagnosis

History:

Red scaly fissured plaques confined to the palms and soles are some times difficult to be differentiated clinically and even histopathologically between palmoplanter psoriasis and hyperkeratotic palmoplanter eczema as the presented case of non pruritic red scaly plaques with fissuring of many years duration. However minimal involvement of the scalp and positive family history of psoriasis had settled the diagnosis of psoriasis in this patient.
