History: This is a relatively mild case of Acanthosis nigricans in a young obese female who had an abnormal Glucose tolerance test and markedly raised Insulin levels.This type of insulin resistance leads to keratinocyte hyperplasia.This type of acanthosis nigricans is not associated with internal malignancy.It may be misinterpreted as Confluent and Reticulated Papillomatosis
