History: Erythema ab igne is a localized, cutaneous condition, consisting of reticulate hyperpigmentation, dusky erythema, epidermal atrophy, and telangiectasia, all resulting from repeated exposures to moderate heat.   Secondary changes like crusting, hyperkeratosis, and bullae formation may rarely develop.  Poikilodermatous changes are usually consequence of prolonged exposure.
