History:

These three cases show some of the clinical features of Filariasis with lymphadenopathy causing scrotal and limb swelling.Subsequent attacks of cellulitis will lead to elephantisis of a limb. The condition is due to infestation of filarial worms of Wuchereria bancrofti. The major areas involved are the legs, scrotum and labia majora.Ivermectin is the treatment of choice. The WHO have an excellent site on recent advances in this condition.
