History:

This 25-year-old male who had spent a night with a commercial sex worker noticed these papules on his glans on the next day on self-examination. He reported to my cabin as an emergency thinking that he had acquired an STD. He was counselled but left the cabin unsatisfied.

This condition of pearly penile papules is described to be a form of ectopic sebaceous glands almost akin to Fordyce's spots. It is also called 'hirsutoid penis'.

The significance is in its being a common cause for venereophobia and the patient is known to consult one specialist after another.
