History: These patches of telangiectasia had arisen on his chest, back and abdomen over a 5 year period. He developed an occasional itch. Rubbing created local erythema and slight swelling. Biopsy showed increased numbers of perivascular mast cells. This is TMEP (Telangiectasia macularis eruptive perstans, an unusual variant of cutaneous mastocytosis. Ocassionally there is bone marrow involvement. He is being treated with narrow band UVB therapy.
