History:

An asymptomatic, darkly hyperpigmented patches involved the butterfly area of the face of 10 months duration. It poorly responded to many topical therapies. Bleaching agents, topical CS, Alpha-hydroxylic acids, Azeliaxc acid and other topicals in addition to lasers are usually in effective in stopping the progressuion or even ameliorating this condition which represents a therapeutic dilemma in tropical and subtropical countries!
