History:

Patient if Dr

62yo M with Hailey Hailey disease

Diagnosed in 1999
Frequent flares with secondary bacterial infections

Previous Rx:
Prophylactic Doxycycline 100mg daily
Yag Laser: with some effect
Acitretin 25mg daily

Topical: Diprosone , bactrobam and condys crystals

What was interesting about this case is that a viral swab of the area showed HSV 1in his groin.

Would not have picked the secondary Herpes in the groin. Just shows you the virtue of taking viral swabs when you take bacterial and yeast cultures! (Submitted By: Dr Ian McColl)
