History:

Follicular muninosis usually involves the face, neck or scalp and particularly the eyebrows where mucin deposition leads to loss of hair. The follicles usually are blocked by a horny plug but pressure can lead to clear mucin extrusion. Watch for secondary follicular mucinosis occuring with an underlying T cell lymphoma.
