History: This lesion arose rapidly over a 4 week period when an elderly man was in respite care. The history suggested a keratoacanthoma but the morphology suggested an aggressive SCC. However when this was surgically excised and a large skin flap constructed, the histology was most in favour of keratoacanthoma. He had no local glands.
