Differential Diagnosis

History: Bronchogenic carcinoma being treated with epidermal growth factor receptor inhibitor (Tarceva; Erlotinib) developed acute facial and upper torso acneiform eruption, consisting of pustules and papules. Many lesions crusted; some necrotic. This carries good prognosis, so chemotherapy was continued. Eruption cleared on combination therapy (tretinoin + benzoyl peroxide wash + doxycycline)
