History:

Nevus flammeus is a common congenital capillary hemangioma presents as a pink-red macule or patch of variable size with a smooth surface that is partially or completely blanched by diascopic pressure. The face and neck are the commonest sites affected, however other body areas may be involved. Rarely, nevus flammeus may appear as an acquired condition, usually with onset after trauma. This man is a blacksmith and he is repeatedly subjected to trauma during his work. He presented with pink-red patches of irregular shapes on the dorsum of his dominant right hand. The lesions were asymptomatic, partially blanching on diascopy. The duration of his acquired nevus flammeus-like hemangioma was 6 months.
