History:

An adult man complained a very itchy skin lesion on the front of the ankle of his left foot. The itching was paroxysmal and severe. On examination, there was a well-defined, thickened and hyperpigmented large plaque spreading across the front of left ankle. This is a case of lichen simplex chronicus which commonly involves the ankle region in adult people.
